The aid is aimed at veterans who are residents of Ningxia, aged 50 or older, and who suffer from cataracts, retinal diseases, or other eye conditions, as well as their families. The plan calls for:

• 1,000 cataract surgeries
• 35 comprehensive eye‑disease surgeries
• 20 refractive‑error (myopia) surgeries

Eligible individuals can apply through a dedicated hospital hotline or through the veterans’ affairs office in their county or district.
